about

It's hard to describe 10 years of music summed up in only 8 tracks from an artist as prolific as Don Cash. Epic jumps off with a timeless hip-hop track & then moves forward chronologically, crossing boundaries while foreshadowing the current electro fixation in rap circles. Though his roots are in hip-hop, it just wouldn't be right to relegate DC to that one category. With an eclectic approach similar to Madlib, Epic is far from just a rap tape and Don Cash is far more than just a rapper.

"...aside from being an eclectic mix of total bangers, it's a pretty good place to start if you are unfamiliar with his work.
...ebbs and flows through a handful of sub-genres, until it's about time to flip the tape over again."
- Cassette Gods Reviews

"...an album with more realism in flow than anything released by the Oddfuture crew. Sometimes bordering on the more progressive lines of Beck, Epic is truly a gem. Spring Break Tapes strikes again."
- Dingus On Music

"It's pretty damn good."
- Dead Formats
